Here you can hold auditions for someone to adopt a certain character. This is like the pound, but this can be for pups, relatives, anything...but not for characters you already own. :3
Want a new character, but don't have the muse to make a profile? Here, you may post a character that you won't roleplay, just so someone else can pick it up. :3
They alleyways are really the one part of the city that can be described as anyone's territory. In past times, when the dogs of the street were more peaceful, it was more likely than anything to bring one's mate back here to enjoy some scraps from various restaurants, Lady and the Tramp style. But now, with Godivaira around and all, things have changed.
Ever since she took over the junkyard and mate a free place her territory, the alleyways have been a popular place to talk about. I mean, everyone's a little scared about her taking over the alleys. Well it hasn't happened, but all the same, a lot more attacks have occurred in the alleyways.
All the same, none of these attacks have happened to lovers, so it's still the place to bring your date.
In the heart of Xavius lies the junkyard, once paradise to all stray dogs. About six months ago, it was known as Tedenuu, the paradise to all strays. But now? Now it's simply hell on earth. Or rather, it's known as hell only to those who truly understand, who truly see what lies behind the mask of Godivaira.
To some, this remains a paradise, so long as none disobey Godivaira. This is her headquarters, so to speak. Where all her many minions cower before her and the heaven-obsessed dogs bow before her and devote themselves to making themselves perfection in Godivaira's eyes.
An outsider may see this place as one in which one single dog has turned so many into her own slaves, without having to spill virtually any blood. And so, she lives here. The little she-devil that brought on this spell of darkness.
Thousands of blades of grass cover a huge park, about half-a-kilometre squared, filled with nothing but green grass, benches, trees, and a playground for the kids. A much happier place than the junkyard indeed, and one in which dogs rest together with killing or mass destruction of any kind.
There's a lake at one side of the park, with a few docks leading off to it. Down the road of course, one can simply swim at the beach, but the park is still an excellent place to jump off the docks.
This is a territory to no one, for it is owned purely by humans. It is for the loners and rogues of the world, and those who simply wish to live in peace. For that is what the park is, really: a place for the dogs to meet in peace.
Beneath the trembling earth, a train runs, carrying humans to destinations across the city and far from it. But deep into the earth, there lies this train station. Where the trains cry out loud and clear, and could render you deaf...a place unsuitable for dogs, right?
Wrong. Rumors amongst the humans say that there is a pack of dogs that have gathered here recently...but these aren't like the junkyard dogs, like that nightmare Godivaira. These dogs haven't attacked, and have rarely shown their faces to humans, let alone shown signs of anger towards them.
Little do the dogs above the ground in the junkyard know, but here are the group of rebels getting ready to take them down, to rebel against Godivaira's slaving, demonic ways.
A few years ago, this old skatepark got closed down due to the number of kids hanging around, doing drugs and drinking a little more than they should. This place is even more tagged up than the subway is...and it's now pretty much abandonned. Few people ever come around here, but of course...that's not to say others don't come 'round nowadays.
Around the old skatepark is an orange fence that's very ripped up at one spot, which is where a dog may, shall we say...slip inside? It's a fairly large hole, to the point where, if a human ducked down, they could probably get into it.
If one did go inside the skatepark, they would also notice that a good number of holes smashed into the wooden ramps. The skatepark was sheltered in case of rain, and the shelter still remains there. And on the concrete ramps and such, it isn't odd to see clumps of dog fur.
And inside this horrible little building, animals are kept in cages to be given away to humans. That's right, this is the dreaded pet store. Where animals actually...become attatched to human beings! It sounds insane, I know. But perhaps it's not so bad...I suppose only those poor housedogs that are here would really know.
Most of the dogs in the pet store are puppies, and they formed a small alliance a little while ago. Some, who've heard of Godivaira, and of the rebels, say that they'll be rebels someday too.
And that right now, they're simply rebels-in-training, chained to this horrible building until further notice. Ah, if only it were like that. But instead, these dogs shall be housedogs someday...although, if you escape...
Unclaimable Territory
Note: The puppies in the pet store can be considered a sort of pack, though any ranks established won't be posted. This board is for the roleplaying of dogs in the pet store, but if you can think of a more creative idea, go with it. ;3
Rows upon rows, graves stand strong in this place reeking of death and sorrow. Humans visit here every now and then, but they know better than to hang around for so long. Legends and stories may have told them of ghosts in the graveyard, but here there's stray dogs in the graveyard.
Pets are buried here as well, and many of those who join this pack join it because they wish to feel closer to perhaps a housedog sibling who died and was brought here, or something along those lines.
They may say that the Junkyard was heaven, but the Graveyard, they say, is as close as you can truly get to heaven. And although frightening stories tell of monstrous things lurking in the graveyard, it really isn't all that bad.
When you think about it, the graveyard is more a holy place than anywhere else in the city, even the church.
Here is where all the housedogs live. This is has the smell of humans and pet dogs all over it...and the odd cat, of course. This place isn't exactly the safest place in the city for strays, as the housedogs tend to get a bit aggressive about strange dogs going onto their territory.
There's no official pack here, just a whackload of housedogs and their humans, who they would die to protect or something weird like that. I wouldn't advise you to come 'round here if you're a stray...unless you're looking for a fight.
It isn't odd for strays to be out here though, although most get picked up by animal control in the end...a sad, sad story all on its own. This place is way too human-inhabited for your typical street dog, but for a housepet? Heaven on earth, baby. Heaven on earth.
For the humans who truly wish to feel close to nature, there's a campground right on the outskirts of Xavius. Filled with hundreds of places to park one's trailer or tent, the campground is quite a popular place during the summer, especially for those who wish to spot some wildlife without having to completely leave the city. After all, there are plently of wild animals around here...wolves, coyotes, foxes...even bears, on occasion.
This is also a popular place to bring the family dog, and it's great fun, really. With the great lake and all, it's a much better place to swim even than the beach, or the docks in the park.
Claimable Territory
Note: This territory is claimable only to packs of wild dogs, not strays, although strays may join. :3
A field not far from the campground, a place basically owned by dogs. Very few humans come here, as this is like the breeding grounds for the strays, and some of the wolves as well. This is a place for any dog or wolf to find a mate and/or give birth to pups, as there are many dens located throughout the field that are perfect for either scenario, really.
It's a lush green field, the grass soft as clouds and green as green could ever be. It's truly a beautiful place, and one that shall always remain untouched.
A wide, long beach, covered in soft white sand and with tranquil blue waters at its base. This is a great place to go for a swim, or play if you're a youngster. Humans come out here on a regular basis, but it's a very dog-friendly beach, so long as you're willing to pick up any poop your dog happens to let loose.
As for strays, you just gotta be careful. Humans may call the dogcatcher if they think you're not being good, or not supposed to be there, or something along those lines. Bottom line, be careful...but have fun.
It is, after all, a beach. And beaches are meant to be the real centre of all things fun, when you think about it.
A huge forest, with towering maple trees and pine trees, and a wolf pack to boot. Yeah, this place really is the best place a wolf could be...though it's not exactly all that fun for your average stray dog, the wolves just love it.
I mean, it's a forest fairly far from human activity, and it's the perfect place to raise a pack away from all the excitement of the big city. Nobody wants their kids to get run over by BMW's, am I right?
The wolf pack here is generally uninterested in the events of the stray dogs, and news of Godivaira and her demonic ways doesn't really concern them in any way whatsoever, or any news of stray dogs period.
A huge lake, with an island in the centre. It's not the biggest territory in the Wild, but it sure is nice. The water is generally quite clean, the island rich with prey, and the wolves and coyotes who hang around here are usually uninterested and uninvolved in the events of dogs, as the pack of the forest is.
The only real problem with this territory is the fact that humans do enjoy coming around here every now and then for fishing and boating and whatnot, so it does get invaded every now and then by the humans...but that's not much of a problem for the wolves, so long as they avoid bothering them.
